The word TAPA is an acronym for Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA). The TAPA organization is generally defined as being a unique forum that unites global manufacturers, logistic providers, freight carriers, parking facilities, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders with the common aim of reducing supply chain loses.
Who is TAPA?
The global TAPA community has been created and is being expanded to facilitate secure transport (TSR and PSR) and storage (FSR) of manufactured goods around the world. This community ranges from multi-national manufacturing companies to local community warehouses used as distribution centres. From CEOs to truck drivers to policemen and insurance clerks – The global TAPA community is made of dedicated professional working in unison for secure supply chains around the globe.
Where is TAPA?
The global TAPA organization is divided into three regions: Asia; Europe, Middle East and Africa; and the Americas. If you are a multinational company and have a global TAPA certification contract, the FSR and TSR sites may be audited by an approved auditor from any approved Independent Audit Body (IAB). However, the TAPA FSR or TSR certificate for the site will be issued in the region of the site being audited.
