TAPA Remote FSR Audit Events

08:00 – 08:05 – Log into remote audit

08:05 – 08:30 – Introductions and Auditor Comments

08:30 – 10:30 – Inspection of Vehicles (see TSR Audit Sequence)

10:30 – 10:45 – Company TSR Security Presentation (if any)

10:45 – 11:30 – Self-Assessment Answers and Answers

11:30 – 12:00 – Monitoring Centre – Pre-Departure Checks, Battery Status, Geofencing, Ping Rate Change Procedure, Black Spots, Emergency Reaction Procedures, LEA Contacts. Demonstration of Monitoring Operations.

12:00 – 13:00 – Lunch

13:00 – 16:00 – Document Review of selective processes, policies, forms, appointments, and training records. Driver’s Handbook and Training. Route Planning and Annual Route Assessments, Inspection of ISO 17712 Seals and Seal Management Procedure. Maintenance Records for Trucks and Trailers. Master List of Vehicles and TSR Inspection Criteria.

16:00 – 16:30 – Discussions of any weaknesses or SCARs and explanation of annual self-assessment requirements.

16:30 – 17:00 – Closing Meeting

Remote Audit Sequence for TAPA Trucks and Trailers:

TSR 1 Trucks:

Show 2 types of communication equipment.

Demonstrate Panic Button – Push panic button and get telephone call from monitoring center.

Demonstrate unauthorized entry into cab with local sounding alarm – Leave window down or door unlocked with truck fully alarmed.  Open door or wave arms inside cab area and hear local alarm.

TSR 2 Trucks:

Show 1 x communication equipment.

Demonstrate Panic Button – Push Panic button and get telephone call from monitoring center.

TSR 3 Trucks:

Show 1 x communication equipment.

TSR 1 Truck and Trailer:

Disconnect the power cable between truck and trailer – Get telephone call from monitoring center.

TSR 1 Trailers:

Show locking device on trailer.

Open Alarmed Cargo doors (if possible) – Get telephone call from monitoring centre.

Open Alarmed Cargo Doors – Test the unauthorized entry to a locked trailer by putting a person inside the trailer that is locked and alarmed. The person will turn on a light and the local trailer alarm will sound locally and in the monitoring centre. – Get telephone call from monitoring centre.

TSR 2 Trailers:

Show locking device on trailer. Try to open one lock with another lock key.

TSR 3 Trailers:

Show locking device on trailer. Try to open one lock with another lock key.

Show both ends of the TIR Cable classification 1.

Show TIR Cable classification 1 of 3 mm metal cable or 8 mm hemp rope… from one end to the other without loops or repairs.
